I found it to be a surprisingly uncritical book review masquerading as an essay. Several of the books mentioned along the way are terribly flawed and yet all we get is some gentlemanly disagreement about tenure or salaries. The stuff that's passing as social science-ish commentary on higher education should alarm us.I don't recall what book that was; unfortunately, many plausible candidates.
...about fostering innovation in higher education so that we can better equip our students for the 2010-50 world in which they will spend their adult lives.
